Vision Statement: We will achieve this mission as we successfully execute the following:

• By proactively communicating with officials and representatives from all levels of government, we strive to create a "business friendly atmosphere" in Archuleta County.
• We work to serve and meet the economic development needs of the various constituencies which support business including: the Financial Community, Chamber of Commerce, Utilities, Tourism, Community Vision Council, various Community Service Organizations, and the Associations representing Realtors, Lodging, Builders, and Merchants.
• We coordinate and share resources with other development organizations for the economic benefit of the entire region.
• Our primary focus is to first help existing businesses succeed by providing education and coordinating access to a variety of financial, marketing, and management resources. We also assist entrepreneurs identify opportunities to expand their existing businesses and create new businesses.
• We identify new businesses which bring values and opportunities which are in line with community objectives and assist them to locate in Archuleta County.
• We serve the residents of Archuleta County by providing information about the business community. Whether it is supporting local businesses or being properly informed about the issues which impact our economy, we recognize financial decisions made by residents and visitors impact the financial success of our community.
